For the record, I only use my Centos 5 box as a backend as well. Just the backend bits to 0.24 would work for me if it's possible.

I doubt it would be possible to upgrade the backend without also upgrading
the frontend. It's all tied together.
Oh no, I explained it badly .... I realise that I'd need to upgrade
the backend (centos) and frontend (fedora) together.

What I mean is I only have the backend components installed on the
backend, so that might make for fewer dependencies that rely on
components that aren't already up to the required version for mythtv
0.24 in centos5.
