Apologies in advance if I am not supplying the appropriate level of detail.
I successfully installed Ubuntu 8.04 on a 20 gig partition on the ATV's internal PATA. Later, I broke something when I installed some updates so I went about a reinstalling Ubuntu. I changed the patchstick's boot param from auto to none, and was able to mount the CDROM and kexec into an Ubuntu install. The reinstall proceeded normally until the reboot at the end, at which point the screen is frozen with the Hardy Heron splash screen and a frozen mouse cursor. I've retried the reinstall with a recreated patchstick but end up with the same problem.
