I want thank you Scott for the ridiculous amount of work you've put into things here. I followed the various instructions and got a useable install on only my second try ;)
I'm pretty much there as far as full Frontend functionality except for one naggling little problem. I can't get sound on any of my .iso dvd rips and even in some of my .avi files. LiveTV, recordings (at least the ones I've tried) and some of my .avi/.mpg files (haven't verified if its ONLY .mpg that works or if its ALL .avi that don't work). I'm using the optical digital out to a home theatre receiver. Sound works perfect on the stuff that it works on, and not at all on the stuff it doesn't. I've set up .avi, .mpg and .iso to all play with the mythtv Internal player. I'm also using the CPU-- setup under TVSettings->Playback. I CAN get sound to work on all files using mplayer; but its hard enough getting a decent remote setup for one player, let alone two when you're dealing with only 6 buttons; plus the WAF goes down the tubes if some videos have a different UI and control scheme. Sooo, anyone else have a similar problem?
