I'm referencing this wiki on the mythtv site.  I'll concede, that it's
not too authoritative.

On december 12, they added support for the 7700.

But why do you specify "added a new device"?  I thought when they "add
a device" to the VDPAU section of the driver, it is synonymous with
adding support.  I don't think you can "add a new device" to a driver
without implying the driver supports the new device.
