It appears that the screen (Sony LCD TV) is sending an improper resolution. TV support 1366x768. If I put the "Turn off "splash", set "vga=normal" and add "video=vesafb", I can see it booting... then when X tries to start (Mythbuntu either 8.04.1 or 8.10) the display rolls as if it's got the wrong resolution set... I played with the boot parms, but it will either go blank (screen trying to save itself) or will roll as complete giberish...
So, I think its the TV pushing the wrong display data... Is there any way to force the display into a text mode? Or another way to force display data??
