Ok, After MUCH rear end pain, I've got 8.10 up and running... minus the IR Remote...
I had to do a alt CD install, then from command line install new Nvidia drivers.. 177.82... SD works just fine, but somewhat fuzzy on a HD monitor.. Of course, the HD stuff is really not good. Choppy... will play for a few seconds, sometime 10-15 secs, then stutter... I am looking for any suggestions on where to go, or somehow, underclock GPU in Mythbuntu 8.10... I've reset all of the display settings under CPU-- like the guide says, but no luck yet... Also, had some initial trouble with sound, but finally got that working out the RCA jacks...
