Nope. Directly. Laptop to ATV. I have a Uverse setup. So I connected the ATV to the Uverse box by my TV and rebooted with the stick. This time I got an IP. HA!
I established telnet connection via wifi through the home gateway. I am erasing the PATA disk in ATV now. I will see how it goes. I really appreciate your help, Scott.
