With the 'blessing' of davilla I have started working on updating the recovery image. I'm basing off of a newer version of ubuntu (11.04) and utilizing host packages for hfstools refit and some other things. I'm trying to keep the changes as minimal as possible but bring the image up to date. I'm actually modifying the build scripts so anyone else should be able to build their own images if they desire. So far I have...
1. Updated kernel image to 2.6.38.6 2. switched to using nouveau for the the framebuffer 3. updated busybox to 1.18.4 4. switched to host parted/hfstools/refit and friends (version 2.3) 5. added rsync, gdisk 6. added fsck and mkfs for btrfs/ext4 7. added kernel support for the above 8. integrated atvclient so the light turns white when bootup is complete What I'm looking for at this point is feedback on essentially 2 things. 1. If we need to add support for anything in particular in the kernel image? 2. Are there any other applications we'd like to see added to the initrd? -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/atv-bootloader?hl=en
