I used the binaries provided by the GnuWin32 project. > Maybe I don't understand (please CMIIW): The use needs to download the > "Third Party Dependencies" zlib123-dll.zip, libpng-1.2.8-bin.zip, > tiff-3.8.2-1-bin.zip and jpeg-6b-4-bin.zip mentioned on > <http://www.gtk.org/download-windows.html>. Hm, perhaps this has changed? A few months ago I installed the Gimp on Windows and I don't recall having to separately download the image libraries for GTK+. Like this there is obviously no advantage compared to directly downloading the libraries. > I also understand that updating the complete binary package of Emacs > or AUCTeX is inconvenient. It would really be a repackaging of the libraries provided by GnuWin32. Anyway, back to the topic of this thread: I've moved the precompiled AUCTex package for Emacs 22.1 on Windows to <URL:ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/auctex/auctex-11.85-e22.1-msw.zip> and put a reference to it on our home page. -- Ralf _______________________________________________ auctex mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/auctex
