On a new OS X 10.6 machine, I recently installed Carbon emacs. Subsequently I installed ConTeXt minimals. The AucTEX (which comes bundled withe Carbon Emacs) is not behaving as I expect, no M-x context-mode for example. When I installed Emacs, there was no TeX installation on my system. There still is no distribution other than ConTeXt minimals.
What is the best way to solve this? Build AUCTex from scratch configured to find /Users/pm/context/tex/texmf-osx-64/bin as the tex dir? Thank you for your help, Paul
