Not to src/audacity.desktop
but to src/audacity.desktop.in<http://audacity.desktop.in>
which is what James did when Scooter gave us the Danish.
If anyone else wants to supply these two strings, you can just do as Cleber
did, send an email for me to copy and paste.

Just have to translate these two lines:
GenericName=Sound Editor
Comment=Record and edit audio files
