It appears that something changed in the script for generating .mo files
from .po files with the result that all the translations are from the
9th August. That is obviously something I want to correct. So there
will be an RC3 with correctly updated translations.

It seems even though the danish translation was updated 22 days ago
the 2.3.0 Release Candidate does not include the latest translations.
I suggest to use the latest translations also for Release Candidate so
its easier for me as a translator to test it.
