Thanks scootergrisen.
I've added a how to download bit first. It's not perfect, but better
than it was, I think.
Our wiki was meant to have more extensive information for translators,
as there is a great deal we could say!
We (now) link to this page for more information:
https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/For_Translators
If you'd like to improve what the wiki says, I can give you an account
to edit pages on it. I think the info on our main website could be
reduced, and the details could then be on wiki, and go into more detail.

Personally i prefer simple instructions for translators.
The reason is that when i work on translating many different projects i
don't like having to read a lot of text across multiple pages.
I find it better when it is simple like:
Here are the files.
This is how you do it.
When you are done submit the file here.
Etc.
I guess it is fine with a wiki page with extra information but maybe i
dont need it so much.
https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Builds_for_alpha_testing says "We no
longer supply alpha nightly builds." so i guess i am not suppose to have
2.4.0 to be able to test the translation easily.
I guess it's fine if i can't have a build each time i update the
translation it would just make it easier. And i find the more easier it
is to translate and test the translation etc. the more time i can spend
on the actual translation work instead of figuring out how i can test it
etc.
I am not saying it bad in Audicity it is quite good.
But for a lot of software for Linux i am unable to build the latest
version my self because it is just to complicated for me so many times i
am unable to test/see the new strings in the software so i just have to
hope it is fine.
So it is better to know that the software and translation is using the
same version so i can make sure the strings are being used properly.
