Re: PDF to text using OCR
I found a small program for $10 that removes all the security restrictions from PDF files. I used the 15 day trial to unlock the 2 product manuals and was able to use Open Book to OCR them into text.
I was so pleased at how well the program worked and how easy it was to use that I went ahead and bought a license.
Now I'm ready for the next anal retentive company I run across.
Just in case any one is interested, they have versions for Windows and Mac.
