It's sad to see ...I know some people who still use Supernova and they end up thinking a lot of applications are very inaccessible, while it is actually Supernova lagging behind that is causing the problems.
Thing is, not everyone is willing to ditch it it and learn a new screenreader unless they are forced to, and I am guessing being forced to switch screenreaders for the sake of change would cause peeps to stick to older software to prevent that from happening for as long as possible. Is that a maintainable strategy? Course not. At some point, you'll be jumping through more hoops to keep things the same than you would if you would pick up a new screenreader, but the psychology behind that one is rather tricky
