Re: siri on my mac just speaks with the compact voices
Try the following:
1. Disable and enable Siri.
2. Try selecting another Siri voice and then select the one you want to download.
3. Under App Store Preferences, try checking all the checkboxes for automatically downloading updates.
Go into Activity Monitor and examine the network tab. If you notice that an unusual amount of data is being received, it's probably the background download of the Siri voice. Apple should have provided a better way to check and download the voices.
