That WWII stuff was interesting. What struck me was that if you played a song like Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen in Britain today, a lot of Brits would be nodding their heads in agreement . I felt a lot of those songs weren't actually propaganda so much as a satire of the morale-boosting propaganda contained within a lot of English popular songs of the period.
