Not sure if even this would last for 6 years, but you might want to invest in a Panasonic Toughbook. That thing can really pack a punch due to its shock-prevention rubber bumpers, so if it takes a fall or two it'll be unscathed. And there's one hell of a deal on it if you buy from nocm at juno dot com. The last time he sold one it was $400. And all his machines goes for prices somewhere around $200 to $400.
