Re: Best space strategy games?

Hi guys.
So, I have one major problem that prevents me from playing some of these games.
I am not the biggest fan of using OCR for one major reason. Its experimental in nature.
What this means is that it can't give perfect results.
I hate messing around with potential access issues in games like x3 or the smugglers games, because it takes a lot of elbow grease and general human knowhow just to get things working as they should be.
In a perfect world, the smugglers games would be the standardised interface windows that we're used to, and the OCR would be able to read every option in X3 as it's highlighted.
I know that this is hard to do, and i know that the devs aren't exactly made of money, but for someone like me, using the jaws cursor or NVDas object review to play a game that doesn't even give us the proper info without going to the other ends of the galaxy (literally) seems kinda pointless and not worth the effort.
Oh, and don't even get me started on games like new horizons.
Those games are gems in and of themselves, but the constant audio cues and rapidly updating info make those games virtually impossible to play for someone like me who isn't able to keep up.
I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong, this is just how I feel about the general concept of games that either need to be made accessible by the community or that are too full of info that is constantly changing.
What would you guys recommend i do? I would love nothing more then  to play these games, but I feel as though I'm unable to get passed the first few minutes due to the large amount of info or the general access issues.
Could someone possibly teach me how to play?
I know that there are guides available, but those guides don't take those like me into account.
Again, i'm not saying that these games are bad, i'm just expressing my opinion.
