The thing that keeps me away from Linux is the fact that developers for Linux apps, desktops, anything aren't kept to a standard of accessibility, so there isn't any assurance that Gnome, or Mate will be accessible the next release. Microsoft at least has an accessibility team. Linux just has a few developers of screen readers an ATK, with big companies funding development of other parts of Linux. And what has Adobe done for accessibility recently?
Yeah, freedom sounds amazing on paper, but in practice, it's just another prison with more pretty and ideologically sweet walls.
