That is, in fact, not a bug, it's only realistic. Tunnel will not spare you from a move that you would realistically be impacted by even when underground. How would you beat the quake machine/desert dragon otherwise? Also since the cat's out of the bag, if you want to be real evil and use that strategy during online fights, you can. Been there, done that. Lol!
