Bernie Sanders was (and still is) advocating for democratic socialist policy. I fail to see why he is being demonized, even indirectly, just because he is wealthy. It sounds more like he's trying to recognize the power he has and use it for good. Stephen King, albeit not a politician, is in a similar boat. He has said more than once that he is willing to pay far more tax than he does if it means others like him also have to do the same, and if it means that folks who truly need the help get what they require.
Devin, your talk of apple or google not ceasing their tracking when this is said and done...I'm just not sure the purpose you're trying to serve. I mean yes, it's possible they won't stop. But perhaps folks will try and hold them accountable? Or perhaps data is already being tracked, and people only want a new hobby-horse to kick. Let's be real here. If you look at all closely, just as one example, it's stupidly easy to track who watches what TV, right down to the average age of viewers. Movie theaters do this too. No one seems to mind. Data is another tool. It can be misused, just as any tool can, but I feel like flagging this cell-phone tracking thing as potentially problematic before it is actually problematic is just done in bad faith.
