Re: Is Visual Studio (not VSCode) accessible?

VS is, let's go with slog.  It's technically accessible these days but I avoid it like the plague still.

That said, a friend of mine is actually on the VS team, and they are actually trying, but for example the team didn't know that everyone doesn't use Narrator until I pointed that out to my friend who raised it with the team (plus WebAIM to back them up).  But supposedly accessibility bugs there are actually release blockers, so filing stuff is probably not a lost cause if you can get it through to the right people.  VSCode is accessible because VSCode starts from Electron which makes your job easy, but my friend spent 2 or 3 weeks fighting the native desktop APIs to get the new terminal exposed through UIA because the desktop APIs are terrible when you have to deal with both MSAA and UIA at once plus giant piles of legacy code.

I think VSCode also works out because we can go to GitHub and we file and we get direct access to the team, whereas VS triage is really indirect.  As far as I know I'm the first blind person in a long time to be close enough to that team for them to be able to ask a blind person questions directly.  My guess is that they need another 2 or 3 years and then maybe it'll be good.
