Downloading Version 1 of VIPMUD if you don't have a key for Version 2

So I have some birthday money and want to buy VIP Mud so I can play some MUD's that I've not been able to play before.

The weird thing is, on the site, they say if I don't have a product key to download version 1, but also it says version 1 is less compatible with Windows 10, the OS I have.
What should I do? I'd rather start with Version 2, since it's more compatible with Windows 10.
