Re: what's the best language for audiogames(not python)

I don’t understand the purpose of wrapping a bunch of functionality which is already wrapping something else. It seems redundant and pointless. Really, all you would need is a state system and better sound support.
Re-, sound cashing. Sounds indeed do not get kept internally apart from the persistent flag I described earlier. I know this for a fact, I am the one that poured it be GT version to python. At the time, I didn’t have any problems with it or know any better.  I somehow doubt BGT caches sounds internally, either. From what I recall, the version had to load sounds again.  Somebody could easily verify this by looking at BGT sound pool source, it comes with the main installer.  So, unless base and or BGT sound object keep bytes around for fun and only free them at certain points, the sounds are indeed not stored.
In my defense, me writing the class was when I was barely starting out with the language, I didn’t understand half of what it was doing. Probably speaks to the quality of the port, but oh well.
