To me the issues I said in @6 and Dark said in @12 are the big ones.
Yes, it sounds simple on paper to say okay, stir a potion clockwise, but that isn't just one line of code. That's several, printing messages, the back end, skill rolls, hooking into the skill system, checking if you have the items on you, et cetera, the mesages for success/fail, any consequences for failing that, and so on.
That's just one thing, to illustrate how complex it is. I feel like it'd burn you out if you tried to code it by yourself.
The other huge issue is player management really. That' the bigger isue, because players are a pain in the ass. I say this dealing with them as a staffer.
