Yeah, unfortunately as I said in the beginning, it's only newer iPhones with Screen Recognition installed, which is to say the XS and newer, so anything from 2018 should work, guessing the same with the iPads, but I don't know about that exactly. The quickest way to add someone as a friend is using their trainer code which is a long string of numbers. The flicktype keyboard is definitely not the most reliable option when it comes to this game, but it seams you can't switch out of it in my case so I have to turn screen recognition off when inputting someone's trainer code or when searching for pokemon, and turn it on again when I press return, but besides that, it does work.
I think there was a forum topic a while back about screen recognition accessibility for games we haven't gotten real accessibility for yet, I think that needs more attention. I would really like to know if there really is some other games I don't know of that would become at least half way decent using this method.
