If you use mush, you need a plugin to make it work with jaws, then what you can do is route jaws to pc and use the jaws cursor to read while typing in the window. Otherwise, I use vipmud for most games besides alter because I'm too lazy to set things up. It's a really tricky game, fortunately the people seem nice, and the wikki is informative. I suggest giving it a go.
