@Cooltirk, yes there is a very good manual on Alteraeon. You can find it on the site, or type "getting started" into the help system and you'll be able to read the newbie guide, indeed the Alteraeon help is extremely good and I'd highly recommend it, you can access it online on the alteraeon site or anywhere in the game.
MushZ is a bit complex, but has it's own readme with a section on the keys, commands and triggers that gives a good idea, however you don't need any of this to play the game, MushZ will work just as well out of the box. Myself, I created a character just out of curiosity to test things out, didn't look at any of the MushZ information and was quite able to play just with the standard commands of Alter, it wasn't until later that I looked into more functions of MushZ to make my playing easier.
If you want to just test the game out without any commitments, rea the help system online or just spend time wandering ar ound and getting used to things, you can even create a blank character and notchoose any of their classes. One of the great things about Alteraeon is that anything is reversable if you put the time in. For example, I began as a Cleric warrior thief, but then after choosing necro as my fourth class decided I liked necro more than thief so by levelling necro and not levelling thief was able to swtich them around (it took a few more xp without levels but it worked out fine).
One thing I actually need to do is I here that the cleric intelligence/charisma requirements have been swapped but that there is an option to change your character's stats, so I probably need to look into how to do that, sinse right now Thelok is much like me and is much cleverer than he is pretty .
