Re: Apple Music
One thing worth knowing is if Apple Music offline music downloads are stored in that same mp4 container file format they were stored in pre2009, with that same drm. Cuzz if they are, of course they won't be able to be played on stuff like the victor reader stream. That sucks, cuzz while obviously the drm would not surprisingly accompany Apple music tracks, not everyone's got a mobile device to listen to that stuff on. Itunes being available on windows, and most of the masses using windows as their primary system, some of us with players have either a stream, bookport plus or some other mp3 player rockboxed for accessibility, we wouldn't be able to play the offline music on the road, and not all of us can lug a computer around to play music. As some of y'all remember, when tracks were drm protected, it was possible and ok to just copy them to a cd. Obviously, so you could buy them. I'm not trying to envoke possible ways around drm discussions again but stil l, with Apple wanting to get Apple music out to everyone, hence why it's the first Apple service of Apple services to come to *android! I'd think it wouldn't be a bad idea to include ways to play on other players. Like a method to authorize files to play on the sd card or usb stick the files are contained on, sorta like the way audible does it.
