1. He's having trouble with the new feature, automated system whatever and is trying everything he can to stall time while corrects the problem--or tries to

2. He must have scene that over the years we can become goulable with pre-ordering, so he devised an elaberate scam to make some quick cash. The fact that he didn't put the video up the first time leads me to believe that he didn't put the video up because there's no game to play. This manual may be just fluff.
Also, with Airik the Cleric and Kurt Wolf, he didn't set a release date, if I recall. He should have had these automated features in place for Airik the Cleric. Not set a release date for August and not meet it because he's trying to code stuff he's never touched before, even though he could have added it server side for both games.
This of course leads me to the dreaded hope that Dark's recording
of, say, the Clocktower Chronicles intro was not in vane because Dark volunteered for that, he didn't get paid for that work. He should have. VoiceOver artists know that when they work on the script for a video game, they know it'll be published somewhere. Since these, at least two VoiceOver artists touted in this Edge of Winter game are apparently Jake's friends, I'm pretty sure they volunteered as well.
When I got the remastered Airik the Cleric, it took about a day, but I got my copy of it. Another red flag? Why put the manual up on SendSpace. It's a little PDF file that I'm sure Breakerbox website hosting is more than capable of handling.
So, I don't know what to think at this point. First mistake? Making a release date you thought you could make good on, but ultimately couldn't since you decided to add a "feature" and automated systems, which should have been added on past games before this so that this one could be re
leased straight away.
Second mistake? Stop putting stuff on Sendspace! Buy a hosting plan with enough space to host these games and that's that. Our money for pre-orders should be worth something to pay for that.
I better receive some very good answers within the next week as to whether the game is coming out. I hate waiting--we'll be in the second week of September when by all counts this game should have been released a week ago, according to original plans.
Edit: Well, Breakerbox does have at least five people on staff according to credits in the manual, and I'm pretty sure Terra posted here about Kurt Wolf before. I just hope this comes out soon.
