I actually set up my kitchen with an old Naim Nait 2 amp and a pair of Linn Sweetspot in-ceiling speakers. I must admit I haven't been too enamoured with them, it's a fairly thin sound and no bass, but that may be down to the ceiling mounts, although they are in pretty firmly. The also buzz when the volume is up, so I'm not sure I'd recommend them as a single pair, they probably work best as multiples. They do look very neat though, same size as a downlighter, which is why I chose them initially. The Naim is great though, so why no check out ebay for a good secondhand integrated amp?
