Okay, thanks. One more thing though -- if the S/PDIF-ready data is wrapped in a WAV, won't it get formatted -again- for S/PDIF output when the SB2 plays it? My understanding is that, ordinarily when playing a WAV on the SB2, the PCM data is taken from inside the WAV and then encoded into a specially formatted stream to be spat out over the S/PDIF interface. If I was to do that encoding work on the server, wouldn't I need to tell the SB2 that the data is ready for spitting out? Anyway, I'll look into all this when I can next find a spare few hours. Thanks again. -- smst _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
