Hi All,
I've just started using a SB3 - and almost everything is working
great. However, I have some DTS/5.1/Wav files that play great when I
put them on a CD (my Yamaha receiver autodetects DTS) - however, when I
use SB3 to play them back I get static. SlimDevices support suggested
turning the volume on the SB3 all the way up 40/40 - because otherwise
the SB3 changes the bitstream by adjusting the volume - which corrupts
the DTS information.

I have the SB3 connected to my yamaha receiver using only an optical
cable. Will turning up the volume on the SB3 to full affect the audio
quality when played back.

Another option would be to convert the wav files to FLAC - and to
insert tagging information. I'm not opposed to this - but I know
nothing about FLAC or tools used to do this conversion/tagging. I have
both Windows and Linux machines available to me shoudl I decide to go
this route.

Andy advice most apprec!

Kevin
