The thing is, if you rip with iTunes (not sure if it affects lossless)
then iTunes applies the emphasis on the audio file itself.

Some other rippers do this too.   But that's OK, because we're dealing
in the lossy domain.

With EAC also having a bug where sometimes the pre-emphasis attribute
isn't spotted, then how exactly  do we know?

An example of this is the black triangle version of Abbey Road.  It has
pre-emphasis flags but EAC doesn't spot it.
