The noise from the linear PSU is 60Hz (50Hz over here) which affect the analog outputs. Fortunaltely, it is reasonly easy to filter out. The problem with a switching PSU is that it uses high frequencies in its crcuits. And that can affect the digital circuits. In addition, if the frequency used is high enough, the switching PSU can act as a "radio transmitter" and you equipment might receive that. -- tomsi42 SqueezeBox2, Rotel RC-1070/RB-1070, dynaBel Exact. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tomsi42's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2477 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18660 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
