The review is right though, the sound quality is only up to mid-range CD players at best. No complaints at the price, but given the benefits of a PC based music machine, it would be good to have the option of a high specification SB3. Now while I accept that the standard SB2/3 have reasonable components put together extremely well, we should not delude ourselves that it sounds perfect.
Audiophiles seem to get a bit of a rough ride on this forum, I hope we are not forgetting that it is about the music at the end of the day.
