Putting a plant in front is usually not bad for the sound and 
good for the WAF.

I slide my stand/speakers out from the wall when I want to
do serious listening. Proper placement has lousy WAF.

You really can't get any imaging or sound stage when the speaker
is on a bookshelf.

Of course the speakers I really want are some classic Klipshorns
or some Quad or Maggies. All of which have negative scores
on the WAF scale.
