Hi,

I am with you. For several times I changed from WAV to FLAC files, and
every single time I hear more edges, a trace of hardness or brightness
with FLAC files, so I switched back to WAV files, and life is good
again. The FLAC files sound very closely to the WAV, but they are not
the same. The sonic difference is ever so subtle but is there.

Many audiophiles will say I am hearing it in my head, but I couldn't
care less: I trust my ears. I have nothing to prove except to be
honest to myself (and my ears).

My associated gear:
Source: Red Wine Audio modded SB2 (battery)
Interconnects: HomeGrown Audio SilverLace 1.0 meter
Power amp: Audio Sector Patek or RWA Clari-T monoblocks (battery)
Speakers: Bob Brines FTA-2000s (using Fostex FA-200 drivers)
Power conditioner:  Shunyata Hydra
Router:  Linksys G + Access Point ==> signal strength 98%- 100%

Merry Christmas!
