I would agree with that and also add that I find the bottom end a
little indistinct. Leading edges on percussive bass notes sound muted.
(Sorry, not very good at explaining what I hear.) 

But having said that, I'm sure this is being really picky. IMHO the SB3
punches way above it's weight. I've been doing a lot of listening over
the weekend with a headphone setup, (heavily modified Chazz tube amp
from DIY HiFi Supply http://www.diyhifisupply.com/diyhs_chazz.htm and
switching between Senn HD650 and Grado RS-1 phones), and haven't felt
the need to power up my standalone DAC. Either I'm mellowing with age
or the SB3 analogue out is pretty good. ;-)
