I've had a pair of the M3ti speakers for about three years. It was a
nuisance to get a smooth transition with my Hsu sub because the Hsu
extends quite high and the M3s go surprisingly low. Like any bookshelf
speaker they aren't tremendously clean if you ask them to play way down
there but they're a lot better than you'd think. I have heard the
M22ti and though the specs at the low end are similar I do actually
think the M3 gets a bit lower if you ask it to -- whether you should,
of course, is a matter of taste.

I've just been looking at the new Axiom W-series speakers for a room
we're renovating. They're the M series bookshelves and VP series
centers reworked for a very unusual wall-embedded mount -- most of the
enclosure lives in the wall, but a few inches stick out in the front.
They've moved the port locations so they're in the edge of the bit that
sticks out -- it's very clever. They claim these avoid almost all of
the usual problems with in-wall speakers; we'll see. But if you're
looking for Wife Acceptance Factor (I certainly am) it's a really
clever new solution.

Just be *very* sure where you want to put them, since they sure aren't
going to be easy to move...!
