Yes!
I use an SB3, which i modified very slightly yesterday, feeding TOSLINK
to a TacT RCS 2.2x (a DAC with a room correction processor), and the
sound is now the best I've heard so far! (TOSLINK may be theoretically
worse than the coax, but it breaks any electrical link between the SB
and the TacT.)
All CD are ripped to FLAC (lossless), and AAC for my iPod at the same
time.
