My experience is the opposite to peter's. I find the sound with my SB3 to be quite smooth with no trace of harshness. I am using slimserver 6.2.1.
I am using the analog outs with full volume (40) at the SB. I regulate volume control at my receiver. Should I go ahead and upgrade to 6.2.2? Bear in mind I am not using the SB's volume at all, it remains fixed at maximum level.
