Another thing to consider is the effect of the switching power supply on the other components in the stereo system. I'm using a linear supply and find it to be a nice upgrade. One interesting experiment I did was to run the Squeezebox off of the linear supply and experiment with also plugging the switching supply into the power strip but not actually connecting the switcher to anything. I consistently found the sound to be degraded when the switching supply was plugged in. So the switching supply could degrade things even though the power supplies in the squeezebox may be well regulated. Just a thought. ---Gary
