Someone should put an end to this nonsense. For the digital output, the only thing that matters is the jitter spec, or the timing of the bitstream. If I knew how to measure jitter, I'd do it myself. It seems to me that all one would have to do is a jitter measurement with each type of power supply. Is jitter reduced for a linear supply? Then we could have a definitive answer, at least, for the digital output.
