I think it's a matter of semantics. Even with the piston example that
you have, you can say the speaker piston is in effect a DAC, in a broad
sense, since it converts digital signals to analog sounds via pistons.
In a traditional DAC sense, you won't see any literature on Digital
amps say that they have a DAC in their amps.
