It depends how much money you have to burn. I think there are
improvements to be had with an external DAC. However, for many people
the analog outputs on the SB3 are plenty satisfying, even those who
have very high end gear. I would advise trying out the analog outs for
a while, and see how you like it. The DAC-AH is pretty cheap, so it
probably wouldn't kill you to try it, if you catch the upgrade fever
(which is going around these days, and is more deadly than the avian
flu!).
