I think the clicking is definitely faster than once per second. I don't
have my text set to scroll, but I do have the spectrum analyzer on the
display. As soon as I get some time, I will try changing the display
settings, and let you know if that affects the distortion. Can the
wireless radio be turned off? Also I have noticed the effect  with the
stock power supply as well as a linear one.

If the problem is indeed with the wireless transmitter, where would I
put the capacitors? I am not using the analogue line out of the CD
player. Both the CD player and the SB2 are connected via digital
coaxials to my DAC-X, and I haven't seen any problems with other
sources.
