That wardrobe on the right is your main problem.

Anyway, keep bouncing your ideas off us here, and hopefully something
can be worked out in the end! (Good headphones?)

You mention lacking treble. Unless it has always been like that you
should certainly treat your various contacts. I'm pretty convinced a
lot of the upgrade-mania is actually driven by systems sitting
untouched (i.e all connectors are untouched)and getting duller and
duller due to gradually worsening contacts.
