I have not measured the voltage, but Jameco was kind enough to send a catalogue, so I looked it up. The Brand listed is Orb with a reference number of 777-052000S-UF. A google search turned up this:
http://www.arndt-electronics.com/products/196314.php which shows 120volt input-- no input range which would indicate a switcher. I've had it running the SB for 2 months now and it sounds great. I love the SB so it's playing all weekend and every night during the week. No problems.
